Top 10
Introducing the Top 10 Government-Owned
Projects in Washington, D.C. Metro
Mid-Atlantic Construction
is proud to present the Top 10 Government-Owned Projects that
are currently under construction in the greater Washington,
D.C. area. Mid-Atlantic Construction
chose to feature these projects in our premiere bi-monthly
feature magazine because they are representative of the industry
as a whole. Our mission is to feature construction of all
types - roads, bridges, schools, government buildings, museums
and more. These 10 projects represent the ingenuity and challenges
that construction companies face on these types of projects.

The list of Top Government-Owned Projects was developed from
research we performed on the largest projects currently underway
in the region. We culled out the federal, state and local
government-owned projects and ranked them by total construction
volume of the entire program. Naturally, the large construction
programs underway at Dulles and Baltimore-Washington International
cornered the top two out of three positions. The incredible
Woodrow Wilson Memorial bridge rounds out the top three.
As a McGraw-Hill Construction regional magazine, we prefer
to write about projects that are underway - while the team
is in the home stretch in making their projects successful.
You will notice that in all our issues - the bulk of the feature
stories are about projects underway.
We hope you like this premiere issue of Mid-Atlantic
Construction. We look forward to bringing you news
and feature stories about projects in your backyard. Look
for our May, 2004 issue when we cover the Top Projects in
the Philadelphia region.
