Falvey Named President of T.N. Ward

Panichi exited his post as president to become chairman of the board at T.N. Ward.

Thomas Falvey

T.N. Ward Co. of Ardmore, Pa., recently named Thomas Falvey as president. Falvey previously served as executive vice president at the company for six years. Prior to joining T.N. Ward, he was an executive at Perini Corporation and Clark Construction. Falvey replaces David Panichi who became chairman of the board. Panichi has been with the company for 26 years. T.N. Ward also promoted John Devecchio to executive vice president of T. N. Ward Co., Atlantic City, N.J. Devecchio has been with the company for 12 years and previously served as vice president of New Jersey operations.

Skanska USA Building of Blue Bell, Pa., recently hired Paul M. Reibel as director of business development. Reibel's responsibilities include identifying and cultivating new business in Eastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey with an emphasis on the healthcare, pharmaceutical, higher education and corporate markets. He brings more than 15 years of marketing experience to Skanska.

Kling of Philadelphia, Pa., recently announced four promotions. Mary Beth DiFiglia, AIA, was promoted from project manager to project director, corporate/commercial sector. Lorraine Fisher was promoted from studio director to project director, interiors. William Gillespie, PE, was promoted from structural design principal to chief structural engineer. Thomas E. Reed, PE, was promoted from project director to sector head, technology and government sector.

STV Inc., of Philadelphia, Pa., recently promoted Carl Mazieka to vice president. Mazieka manages the rail systems division of STV's National Transportation Group. He has more than 40 years of rail experience and joined the company in 1995.

WDG Architecture of Washington, D.C., recently announced that it hired Hiro Isogai as director of design for interior architecture. Isogai's interiors work in the Washington D.C. market includes the Jefferson at Congressional Village, 13 & M Apartments and Jenkins Row.

INTECH Construction of Philadelphia, Pa., recently announced that it hired John Bremner as senior vice president of pre-construction. In addition to overseeing the pre-construction department, Bremner is responsible for all planning operations, including marketing, estimating and purchasing. Prior to joining INTECH, he spent 24 years with Shoemaker Construction of West Conshohocken, Pa.

Paula Gillette

Cannon Design of Arlington, Va., recently hired Paula Gillette, PE, as vice president and regional leader of the firm's engineering department. Gillette is a mechanical engineer with more than 25 years of experience working on facility design projects.







Palmatha Leonard

DMJM Design of Washington, D.C., recently promoted of Palmatha Leonard to associate. Leonard has been with DMJM for 32 years during which time she helped establish the firm's D.C. area accounting department.

Bower Lewis Thrower Architects of Philadelphia, Pa., recently hired Bruce E. Schmit, AIA, as an associate and senior designer of the firm. Schmit has more than 17 years of architectural experience in local master planning, academic and corporate projects. Schmit has worked for several Philadelphia-area firms, including H2L2 Architects/Planners, Jacobs Engineering and Mitchell/Giurgola Architects.

Woolpert of Portsmouth, Va., recently named Russell S. Kauffman, PLS, as the firm's geographic information services federal Department of Defense group manager. Kauffman is responsible for providing all branches of the nation's military with Woolpert's GIS and surveying services. He also manages the firm's onsite staff at Air Force Materiel Command and Air Force Mobility Command bases. He is based out of Woolpert's Hampton Roads, Va., office.

Vollmer Associates of Philadelphia, Pa., recently announced three promotions. Jeremy J. Alvarez, AICP, was named a principal professional. He currently serves as director of planning in Vollmer's Philadelphia office/ He has 32 years of experience in transportation and community planning. James J. Pezzotti, PE, has been named a principal professional. He has 19 years of experience in bridge evaluation, design, rehabilitation, hydraulics, load rating analysis and construction. Eileen Nelson, PE, has been named a senior associate. Nelson is director of the firm's municipal engineering department in Aston, Pa. She has 20 years of professional experience.
