Construction Firms Reshuffle Management

Mid-Atlantic construction companies are strategically shifting top brass to focus on new opportunities.

Mr. Greg Gouldin has been hired as vice president of business development of the Mid-Atlantic region at the Rockville, Md. office of Skanska USA Building, a consulting, construction, general contracting, and design-build firm based in Parsippany, N.J.

Paul Wiedefeld has been hired as senior vice president at Parsons Brinckerhoff Quade & Douglas, the U.S. infrastructure arm of the New York-based Parsons Brinckerhoff. Wiedefeld was formerly executive director of the Maryland Aviation Administration, where he oversaw the Baltimore/Washington International Airport expansion.

Charlie Watkins has been named senior associate in the construction management division of Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, a consulting engineering firm based in Sparks, Md.

Darcy Fournier has been hired as vice president of Silverwood Management, Inc., and Andrew Basham has been promoted to vice president of Silverwood Homes, Inc., both arms of the real estate development, management, and consulting firm Silverwood Companies, based in Reston, Va.

Margaret "Meg" Bower has been hired as senior planner and Eric Snellings has been promoted to director of at the Baltimore, Md., practice of PSA-Dewberry, an engineering and architectural firm based in Fairfax, Va.

Jeffrey Nelson has been named senior associate at Schnabel Engineering, a geotechnical engineering company based in Glen Allen, Va. Nelsen will serve as the environmental service area team leader at the company's Gaithersburg, Md., office.

Kelly Stoker has been hired as the new director of membership at the Virginia chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors, a statewide association representing construction firms.

R. W. Murray Co., a construction management and general contractor firm based in Manassas, Va., has hired Jim Richbourg as a project manager, Scott Gould as a project superintendent and Frank Good as a superintendent. Rick Hebert has been promoted to superintendent general.

PROMOTIONS

Heather Clark has been named senior associate at Venturi, Scott Brown and Associates, an architecture, design and urban planning firm based in Philadelphia.

Seth Cohen, Heidi Sentivan, and Carey Jackson Yonce have been named associates.

Steven Phillips has been named director of preconstruction at the Washington, D.C., office of New York construction management firm Bovis Lend Lease.

Andrew Phillips has been promoted to director of estimating at Grunley Construction, a construction firm based in Rockville, Md.

Mike Gearghty has been promoted to superintendent at Centex Construction, the construction management, design-build and turnkey services subsidiary of the Dallas-based Centex Corp. Mark Konchar has been promoted to director of the integrated projects group.

Thomas Donaghy and Irena Savakova have been promoted to senior associates in architecture at the Washington, D.C., office of DMJM Design, an architecture and engineering firm based in Los Angeles, and Thinh Pham has been promoted to senior associate in electrical engineering.
