Hixon Moves from Capitol Hill to Hill International
Former U.S. Capitol Visitor Center project executive to Lead Hill’s Washington, D.C., regional efforts.
Robert Hixon, Jr., has taken the reins at Hill International’s Washington, D.C., office. Hill recently hired Hixon as senior vice president and director of the Federal Buildings Group. In this position, Hixon will be responsible for managing Hill's Washington, D.C., regional project management operations as well as coordinating all of Hill's efforts for U.S. federal government facilities worldwide. Prior to joining Hill, Hixon was project executive with the Architect of the Capitol, where he managed construction of the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center in Washington, D.C. Before that, Hixon spent 32 years with the U.S. General Services Administration, most recently as director of GSA's Center for Construction and Project Management, where he implemented GSA's Construction Excellence Program nationwide. Hixon earned his B.S. in civil engineering from the Virginia Military Institute and his M.A. in public administration from Pepperdine University.
HITT Contracting of Fairfax, Va., recently announced two promotions. Jeremy Bardin has been promoted to vice president, director of HITT’s Base Building Division. He has 20 years of experience in the construction industry. Steve Richbourg has been promoted to vice president, director of HITT's Interiors Division. He has over 20 years experience in the construction industry. HITT Interiors was previously led by John Kane, executive vice president. Kane will now focus his efforts on HITT’s newly established HITT Technology market sector, an effort aimed to facilitate to market projects for mission-critical facilities.
Grunley Construction of Rockville, Md., has tapped John Greenwell, vice president, to lead its newly-formed Special Projects Division. The division was created to meet needs of customers with special security and information handling requirements. Grunley also hired Pamela Stanziani as business development executive and Jill Johansen as marketing coordinator.
The Bozzuto Group of Greenbelt, Md., recently announced several key personnel changes. Toby Bozzuto and Ryan Ogden have been named partners. Dan Murphy has been named chief financial officer.
Perkins Eastman of Arlington recently hired David Nestleroth as associate principal and Gary Steiner as principal. Steiner has more than 27 years of experience in the design of senior living communities. He was previously managing principal of Dorsky Hodgson Parrish Yue. Nestleroth has 27 years of public- and private-sector project experience.
Pennoni Associates recently announced several personnel changes. Jonathan Savage has assumed the role of regional manager for the Philadelphia region. Dan Brammell has been hired as transportation division manager for its Haddon Heights office. Jerome Loftus has been hired as division manager for its newly formed Environmental Division in Scranton, Pa. Elias Badin has been promoted to Senior Engineer in its Philadelphia Mechanical/Engineering/Plumbing Division.
Bovis Lend Lease of Bethesda, Md., had promoted Jonathan Dickinson to project executive. Previously a senior project manager with the firm, Dickinson has 20 years of experience in the construction industry. The firm also named Randy Shumaker and Chuck Summers to general superintendent. Shumaker and Summers have 30 years and 34 years of experience in the construction industry, respectively.
Turner Construction of Arlington, Va., recently promoted Drew Langsam to business development manager for its Interiors Division.
HKS, Inc., of Richmond, Va. hired Kimberly Bruffy as director of business development for the Atlantic States region. Bruffy joins HKS with over 17 years experience in interior design and business development for the corporate, healthcare, and university markets.
Shawn Carlin and Steven Keener were promoted to Project Executive at the Philadelphia-based construction firm P. Agnes. Both were previously senior project managers and have been with the company 11 years and 9 years, respectively.
O’Donnell & Naccarato of Philadelphia recently named Dennis Mordan as principal in the firm. Mordan has been an employee of O’Donnell & Naccarato for more than 17 years.
